My Name is Ruan Jacobs, I work for a company called Signify Software. I believe the process of design begins with communication. Sedgars Sport - wanted a website that promoted a wide range of caps, clothing and promotional accessories. I used photoshop to air-brush the 3D cap which was the main feature of this website, the yellow, maroon and Grey/black from their logo was considered throughout their website.

A corporate branding company that sells most promotional items that can be branded, from tog bags to netball equipment. I used the ZIP as the main feature on this site as most of the promotional items use a zip. The design was super modern. I use a fabric pattern as a background repeat.

Designing a website for strides I used a metal texture as a background repeat, and used 3D rivots and wire to join everything. They specialise in aluminium product design

Kalahari Website - Designing a website for Kalahari Big Sky Challenge - I went with a black background (eco friendly) website and a typical Kalahari silhouette, with the Hi-contrast Red’s, orange’s and yellow.

Expede Website - We re-designed Expede's website - Using their bright green and purple corporate colours, We created a sophisticated look for this people based company.

Montana Moon Productions - is a NEW Production company based in Los Angeles, they specialize in Film Production, Film Studio's, Photography, Events and Novel's. They wanted a clean design, easy to read and navigate through.

Nutri Hub - a website that informs you of the importance of eating and living healthy, I used the purple and grey colours to emphasize the Logo, I also used bright healthy images of good food and healthy living to entice people to view more of the website.

Be Sharp Beetles - A Toddler music franchise, that specialize in teaching children to play, listen and enjoy music and the instruments they use to create music. The full colour double sided DL brochure was designed to communicate this factor the design is playful and current.

Ferry Flights - Design a Magazine add, 210mm x 120mm full colour. Minimal copy, really just include what is necessary to convey the message across. Clean design with a sophisticated look.

Castle Lager Brief - Brief was to come up with a Idea that could be used in conjunction with FIFA World cup 2010 and the slogan "It all comes together with a castle". My Idea the Clip Cap system.

Boditeq - a personal trainer on your Mobile phone. Design a logo that incorporates both fitness and modern look to the logo. Using the "i" in boditeq, as a figure and the Main Icon a capsule. The logo met all the customer’s needs for the Business. We also designed 250 Animations that were accessible through your mobile phone at the GYM.

Barikiwa Archery Poster and Pull-ups - Brief was for a different spin on the normal ddverts seen in magazines - Using a Duo tone image presented us with a great graphic finish.

Ferry Flights logo - Design a aviation logo using pilot wings, globe a jet and a bronze strip combining all of these components into a modern logo design.

Be sharp beetles - The logo on the Right was scanned and I redrew it for them with a bit more accuracy and 3D Feel. The logo at the Bottom was done as a suggestion for a more modern logo and a bit more fun and professional than the old logo.

Retecza - Re-Design a logo that incorporates the world Globe and the fact that they are an international company based in South Africa. Therefore the ZA in the logo is a different colour and work together.

Medical Imaging - Used the DNA strand to create the "M" and the "I" for the MI Icon. Kept it very clean and classy as it's for a preventative imaging company in LA.

Goodies 4 Baby - A online baby store that sells any baby goodies that you need for your little bundle of joy. Fun 3D font used with the common toys used by babies and toddlers.

Baby Proof - A really fun logo to do, used the two babies as the focus on safety at that age they are on their hands and knees 85% of the time. The clouds represent the Safety provided to cushion the fall.

Little Box of Spells - Another fun logo, it was for a KIDS interior design company. The name predicted the outcome of the logo.

Moo Poo Pots - My own idea for recyclable manure that gets used to plant seedling in. The pots get baked at high temperature and treated with a insect repellant and all natural products. The logo was a fun concept that still needs to be furthered.

Flippa Tours - Design a 2 colour logo with the dolphin being the mascot and flippa tours in a fun bold font. Kept it clean and simple.

Medical Imaging - Design a outdoor window billboard 2.5m height x 10m wide divided into 8 window panels. They wanted a lifestyle as well as incorporating the whole Medical equipment and Preventative imaging feel, they wanted people to feel as if they were at home in this sterile environment.
